Warm Weekend in Hertfordshire

This weekend was the warmest weekend of the summer, even if it is October. We headed to the town where we used to live in Hertfordshire for some country park strolls and sunshine.

It was such a nice relaxing weekend which we finished off with drinks in Parson's Green and a walk with the Thames. We haven't had a 'real' vacation this summer, but this break is what I needed to unwind. Just getting back into the weekly routine that has been a challenge today.

How was your weekend?

  1. It's really nice to get out of the big city and head to the smaller towns of England sometimes. I get so excited when we go visit Dave's moms town, because it's just so quaint and calm.

And what the heck is with this weather? It was SO hot this weekend! I felt like I was back in Florida.

  2. Beautiful place!! I love the smaller places sometimes!! I used to live in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire & I just loved that place..maybe re-visit it sometime :) Have a great week xx

  3. I hit up Battersea park! Which has just been named one of the best green spaces in London.

  4. Nice to discover your blog !

  5. I did the same thing, went back to my Mum's in Herts this weekend. Photos to follow!

  6. Kristin- I am SO allergic to UK springs & summers, so I was so happy to have a warm day with clear sinuses! I wish it was always like this in the autumn!

DDH- Thanks, have a great week too!

Melissa- Loved your post on Battersea Park- that is my favorite park in London (for now).

    Grace- can't wait!

  7. Very relaxing Danielle! Nice! Girl I was cleaning, putting down mulch and looking for Halloween stuff. HAHAHAHA I'm so glad you had a great time and that cider look delish. HAHAHA I'm laughing at your husband's expression. He's a cutie! :D
