My Crafty Christmas Preview

It's only four days into October, but already the stores are brimming with advent calendars and holiday cards, Harrods Christmas Grotto is already booking, and E4 has even aired the Christmas episode of Glee today. My notebook already has a gift list and my Pinterest is filling up with winter wonders- I am officially in holiday spirits!

This year I want to give a lot of handmade love out- I am stalking etsy, folksy and local shops for
I also happen to LOVE knitting, crocheting and embriodery and have decided to craft up some handmade holiday presents of my own this year (and not just last minute!).  Here is a little preview of what is keeping me busy for the next two months:

Are you choosing handmade gifts this year?

  1. I'm in the HOLIDAY SPIRIT TOO! Yaaay US! Girl, I can't sew, knit or crochet worth a damn. I usually buy comfy cozy and give as gifts. Buy cookies, cakes and give as gifts. Does that count? HAHAHA Ohhhh, I can't wait to see what you're making! I bow to anyone that can do it. I don't think I'm very domestic. LOL Have a great Tuesday girl. Still trying to catch up on blogs.

  2. Hiya! Your wool looks just heavenly and I'm sure you'll make lots of beautiful pieces with it. I haven't made handmade jewelry or cards since I moved to London but it's what I used to do back home. Maybe I'll get back into it in 2012...

  6. Kim- Cookies and cake are the BEST gifts! :)

Emm- I think it's hard to find time for crafting- I had to make it a goal to make a few things for xmas to get my butt in gear!

Betsy- I LOVE that site!!!! Thank you for sharing, I am looking at gifts on there!

Belle- Thank you! I learned basic knitting about 6-7 years ago, and crocheting 3 years ago but taught myself advanced techniques last year. Never too late to learn!

DDH- Like I said to Kim- baked goods are awesome! Unfortunately I travel over the holidays so it's not really possible, but I did give homemade bread to my extended family one year.
